Ryn Potts is a dancer, actress, and writer- a performing artist through and through. Currently, one can find her performing on her dream stage as a Principal Dancer in the iconic Cirque du Soleil show, Mystere, which is approaching its 30 year anniversary.
Prior to achieving her goal of running away with the circus, Ryn performed several nights a week as a Swing Dancer in the award-winning show, Fantasy, located at the Luxor in Las Vegas. She’s also honored to have held the position of Dance Captain at the opulent supper club, Delilah, located at the Wynn. There, in character as a vintage Gatsby girl, she’s performed with and entertained notorious figures such as Macy Gray, Justin Timberlake, Jimmy Fallon, Tiffany Haddish, Mick Jagger, Doja Cat, and many more. While not onstage, Ryn enjoyed dancing at various nightlife venues, as well as appearing as a showgirl at numerous events.
Before launching her professional career, Ryn received dance training at local studios from an early age, but has also undergone intense classical training at top schools all across the US, Canada, and Europe. Such schools include Kansas City Ballet School and the Kirov Academy of Ballet, and summers at American Ballet Theatre and Dutch National Ballet. During her ballet training, she was honored to perform corps de ballet roles in productions such as Romeo and Juliet, Sleeping Beauty, and the Nutcracker. Ryn has also danced professionally with Nevada Ballet Theatre in Las Vegas, and there had the privilege to perform as a Flying Bride in Ben Stevenson’s Dracula, and as a featured dancer in an annual collaboration with Cirque du Soleil.
In 2020, Ryn attended Theater Arts Preparatory School on scholarship to further her commercial, jazz, acting, and theater training. After studying a multitude of dance styles including ballet, classic jazz, tap, commercial jazz, musical theater, ballroom, and commercial heels, as well as receiving coaching in acting and voice under esteemed names such as Don Bellamy, Tony Coppola, Steve Judkins, Bonnie Story, and Bart Doerfler, Ryn is ready to take on the world of entertainment and all it has to offer.
Ryn is also currently training in aerial arts such as silks, and considers the fact that she’s performed in four countries to be one of her greatest accomplishments. She hopes to add many more in the future!
